It’s only 39 days until the AOCSN converges on Boston for our yearly conference.

The AOCSN (Association of Organizations for Christian Science Nursing) is the trade association for Christian Science nursing organizations around the world. It meets yearly in different locations, and in 2019 it chose Boston in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Benevolent Association.

The conference attendees will be staying in downtown Boston where they can easily attend and take tours of The Mother Church, visit The Mary Baker Eddy Library and Mapparium, and take tours of the Christian Science Plaza.

The AOCSN Conference is July 8-11, 2019, and is designed to provide a global perspective on Christian Science nursing and strong metaphysical support for our healing ministries. The theme is “Christian Science Nurse…a help…to maintain the dignity and defense of our Cause” (Church Manual 89th edition by Mary Baker Eddy). We are expecting about 120 attendees from around the world, and all representing Christian Science nursing organizations.

The BA will be hosting everyone at the conference for dinner and a tour of our Original Building and the Christian Science Nursing Building. We are so pleased that our new chiller is installed and operating — and it will definitely be included on our tour.

Following dinner at the BA, we will all head over to Longyear Museum to complete the evening with a book talk by Heather Vogel Frederick, and a visit to special exhibits.

Red Rock Park, Lynn, MAFor attendees that arrive early or stay over for a couple of days, we are partnering with Longyear Museum and The Mother Church for special tours. There will be a half-day trip to Mrs. Eddy’s historic homes in Swampscott and Lynn, MA along with a visit to Red Rock Park. There will be a guided tour for our group of The Mother Church following the Sunday service, and a walking tour of Mrs. Eddy’s Boston.

We are so honored for the Benevolent Association to be recognized on the 100th anniversary of its opening. And we are especially grateful to be able to share Boston and the BA with all of our many loved colleagues.
