The morning session was full of clear, substantial ideas about the strength and necessity of Christian Science nursing After the lovely lunch, the afternoon session provided a wonderful window in to the teaching and practice of Christian Science nursing. “I came away with a renewed appreciation for how Christian Science Nursing Arts requires individuals to start from the scientific, spiritual basis before taking any action. I think the white board exercise, simplified for the occasion, worked so well to reinforce the art of Christian Science nursing — indispensable qualities of thought that bring out care ideas appropriate for individual situations. I’m glad we were reminded that the Manual By-law requires taking proper care of the sick, rather than sickness. If I recall correctly, that was brought out in answering one of many thoughtful questions. In the afternoon I was interested to see the demonstration of assisting someone out of bed. Thank you for the variety of topics during the day, always presented from an inspired and practical standpoint.”
